Warning: This “hike” is not easy and may cause vertigo!
If you’re very comfortable with hiking, not afraid of heights, and well-equipped, you can give it a try.
By heading up a bit from Los Gigantes, you’ll reach the start of a trail that runs along the cliff, offering breathtaking views of the aptly named Los Gigantes cliffs.
- Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes
- Loop: No
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Distance: 1 km
Step 1: Park in Los Gigantes
Parking in Los Gigantes is not easy.
Try looking in the residential streets above the harbor. If not, there’s a paid parking lot at the harbor, though it’s quite expensive.
Step 2: Walk to the trailhead
The trail begins at the end of Cl Tabaiba street. You can walk up, but there will likely be limited parking spaces at the start.
Step 3: Follow the Maps.me route
The beginning is very easy, leading to a viewpoint. From there, the trail becomes narrower and at times follows the edge of the cliff. If you’re afraid of heights, this is not the hike for you—you’ll feel very uncomfortable and could be at risk.
The views of the cliffs are absolutely stunning!
Step 4: Return and don’t go too far
If you continue further, there is a tunnel, but according to recent online comments, it is closed. Do not descend too far, as the path becomes increasingly difficult and dangerous.
